Today we continued bio-technolgy , actually it was an interesting topic . We decided the bear was wild and than we found that the lake near the habitat was being polluted , we also knew that this had become a problem after a few new bussnieses were established , we figured that it was one of the buissness which was polluting . We did some test and i was a buissness .

Patient B
Patient B im sorry to tell you that you have Monkey Pox. I beleive this is good new s than having small pox because they can find a cure by testind your dna and you will help others. So im very sorry for you.
jason is here file 7
Yes doing test we figured out that you have been infected with monkey pox virus ,we believe you were infected by the monkey that your cousin who is a zookepper and ot that monkey . We belived you may have etheir small pox or monkey pox seeing you symtoms , we did a dna test and than using the travel rate we figured out that you had monkey pox . We will have to isolate you and than try to cure you . This diesese is contagious . Thank you

Kristi’s and Vivian’s Blog
Hi. Today we had to impersonate medical doctors and pretend we were experts in the field. Right, Dr. Kristi?
Yes, Dr. Vivian.
Then, we had to go and solve the problems of the two new patients of our fake hospital. No, it wasn’t the problem problems. It was the disease problems. Our fake, presentable hospital doesn’t cover emotional breakdowns, especially the middle-aged crises.
One woman we called Patient A was pregnant and middle-aged. No, she wasn’t crying or hysterical. She just wanted to check if her baby would have sickle cell anemia.
It did.
One man we called Patient B was coming in, middle-aged, had pustules all over his body. It was pretty gross. We had to go and test those two patients to visually see if they had the things we thought they had. For Patient B, we thought he had smallpox or monkeypox.
He had monkeypox.
On retrospect, maybe that wasn’t a good thing. After all, one out of ten people die from it…
Oh, well.
Thank you for reading, once again, Kristi’s and Vivian’s Blog.
Wait two weeks for the next addition.
Jason is here file 6 i think re
we are done , we finished our simulation and next week we will use real dna

Today at the hall of science in the hayden pogram we learned about DNA. We simulited how DNA is shown . The day started with us learning about the micro pipe pet , first we simuleted what to do to see DNA. Using matirials used by doctors we made some gel to simulate what doctors do to see DNA. Next we went around the museum inthe microbes and genes section . When we came back the gel we were creating was finished . Next we simuleted how microbes travel and we saw the microbes getting streched and thats what Jason with help from Steven did at the hall this Saturday

What Samantha & Shaneeza learned today!!!!!!!!
Well today we were biotechnologists. We practiced working with DNA and the Agarose Gel Electrophoresis. We expirimented with practice samples…not actual DNA but we had a good time and it was really cool and fun. Yay!!!
Bio-technology by: Steven Seegobin
Todays lesson was real cool! We got to use materials that students use in college. We experimented with gel, electricty, positive charges, and negative charges. We were simulating DNA. We used doctors materials to find out people’s DNA. This is what we did in class today.
The Return of Kristi’s and Vivian’s Blog! =)
Today we discussed biotechnology, which is supposedly using machinery to literally keep you living. Some example would have supposedly been cloning.
But we all know that was a lecture to cover the fact we liked touching the gel.
Because it was fun.
Unfortunately.
touching the gell was fun ^-^b it was squishie and gelly like. xD it was fun….now im waiting for lunch cuze im hungry. >
